HFCF is proud to announce our second scholarship recipient, Nic Vloyanetes. Nic has excelled in the classroom and on the mats as a four year student-athlete for Keansburg High School.

Nic is a multi-sport athlete and is consistently dependable and reliable all the time. He sees the positive in scenarios and look to how we can use his attributes to help others. Nic has developed resiliency and drive despite not having a “traditional” upbringing.

He is a selfless individual that is able to see the bigger picture. For example, when his home was flooded with 4 1/2 feet of water from Hurricane Sandy, Nic helped his grandmother sort through their belongings and begin the long process to clean up and restore their home. His efforts didn’t stop there though. Nic helped others in his community by filling sandbags before the storm, serving meals to the hungry and cleaning debris in the aftermath.

Nic has set high aspirations for his future. He was just accepted to East Stroudsburg University and will be studying Special Education. He was given a $1000 scholarship from HFCF. We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors!
