HFCF joins Family Promise in unveiling their new day center.

Do you know on an average day in Monmouth County, there are 200 children who are homeless?

That’s why for the last 13 years, HFCF has partnered with Family Promise of Monmouth County and donated over $250,000 to provide these families with shelter, food and a chance to build a better future.

This past Friday, we were excited to join Family Promise as they unveiled their new Day Center in Ocean Port, NJ. This 2,800-square-foot building at the old Fort Monmouth property provides homeless children and their families with food, clothing, shelter, transportation, life skills training and comprehensive case management. Everything needed for these families to get back on their feet and promote a life with economic stability.

During the ceremony, we were honored that Family Promise recognized our partnership by naming their new Resource Room after HFCF. We were advised by Mike Meriton (Vice President, Family Promise Monmouth County) that it was our pledge for the new building that allowed Family Promise to forge ahead with this project. This has been a great synergy for both organizations and we are excited to continue working together to help the children in our community… one family at a time.
