Holmdel – HFCF announced today that its 4th Annual Rolling Greens Golf Outing netted $60,000. HFCF will use the funds to continue its mission of making a difference in the lives of Monmouth County area children.
With a beautiful, picture perfect day, the turnout for HFCF’s latest fundraiser was outstanding. The golfers enjoyed a day full of contests on a gorgeous course at Spring Lake Golf Club in Spring Lake. The evening portion of the event brought additional friends of HFCF and honorees, Joe and Debbie Curto to enjoy an array of auction items, dinner, cocktails and entertainment by NJDJS owner Joe Castro.
“Our all-volunteer organization has yet again staged an incredible charity event,” said Eric Hinds, President of HFCF. “We are humbled by the generosity and hard work of our sponsors, supporters and volunteers and I am very proud of what we have been able to accomplish together.”
This year’s golf outing honorees were Joe and Debbie Curto who have been huge supporters of HFCF since its inception 10 years ago. As members of Spring Lake Golf Club it was only fitting to honor them and salute all that they have done for HFCF. Joe and Debbie were presented a crystal award from Tiffany’s as a token of the appreciation by Eric Hinds and Marybeth Walz, both co-founders of HFCF. Joe Curto with Debbie along his side expressed their appreciation of all that HFCF has done and continues to do for children in need. He noted the big reason that they have been such big supporters is that HFCF is an all-volunteer based charity where every dollar you give goes right back into the community.
MaryBeth Walz who has experienced recent tragedy in her life, losing both of her twin boys, Jude and Thad thanked the crowd for their support during this difficult time and was able to present a computer and a check to help with medical bills to a Middletown father, Kevin Prefer whose son, Christopher was born without a bile duct and has endured multiple organ transplants and is now home after 145 days in the hospital. A check was also presented to a local single mother with spinabfida. Her only means of transportation, a specially equipped handicap van, could no longer be fixed by the mechanic. She needed a new van and did not no where to start. After hearing her story we were happy to assist her in making that happen.
The event could not have been as successful without the help of so many people who donate their time to volunteer for such a great cause. Kristie Kane headed up the event committee and has done so for many of the past events. “Without her leadership and organization, our event would not be as successful,” says Karen Hinds, Treasurer of HFCF. So many of our supporters from past events have continued to be there for us, Adam LaRosa of The Wine Academy, Danny Aboudi of Speedpro Imaging, Advisor’s Mortgage, The Hinds/Pearly Group/ Merrill Lynch, The Hesse Companies, Merrick Construction, Aspire Technology Partners, Capelli Sport and The Stanziale and Greenberg Families.
Based in Holmdel, HFCF is a group of young professionals, entrepreneurs and parents in Monmouth County working together to raise funds to make a difference in the lives of children. HFCF was started with the simple goal of “getting together with family, friends and colleagues to make a difference in our community.”
On an annual basis HFCF identifies charitable organizations and individuals that will benefit from monies that come from various fundraisers. To date, HFCF has donated more than two million dollars to local charities and families in need of assistance in Monmouth County.
