HFCF’s 3rd Annual Fundraiser a Sold-Out Success!

Event Raises Nearly $300,000 to Help Children and Families in Monmouth County

 

November 2007, Monmouth County, NJ: HFCF announces their, 3rd Annual Fundraiser held on November 2nd net a whopping $228,000 after expenses, to directly help children in Monmouth County.  Seven-hundred guests attended the semi-formal dinner dance party held at The Ocean Place Spa and Resort in Long Branch.  The evening included cocktails, dinner, live entertainment by Brian Kirk, exciting silent and live auctions and a grand raffle. The dinner dance event was sold-out weeks in advance, with a long list of hopefuls remaining on a wait list for a possible last minute reservation opening.

HFCF Co-Founder Eric Hinds states, “We are absolutely blown away by the tremendous response we have received tonight. This is a true example of how powerful a community can be when brought together for a good cause. We cannot thank everyone enough for making tonight the great success it is. We are sending out a very special thank you to Vincent Puma and Hudson Financial Management, who at the last minute of the live auction matched $25,000 in donations.”

On an annual basis HFCF identifies an established charitable organization(s) that will benefit from the HFCF’s annual fundraiser dinner dance party. In the past two years HFCF has already donated over $150,000.00 to local charities that serve children and their families in Monmouth County.  This year HFCF decided to sponsor The Valerie Fund Children’s Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at The Children’s Hospital at Monmouth Medical Center Long Branch, and Family Promise of Monmouth County. The Valerie Fund is a nonprofit organization that provides treatment for children with cancer and blood disorders. Family Promise is a charitable organization dedicated to provide shelter, food and transportation to children and families experiencing poverty situations.

This year’s fundraiser celebrated Luke Walz. Luke is a 4 year old boy from Middletown that was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia. He is scheduled to undergo treatment for the next three years at the Valerie Center at Monmouth Medical in Long Branch. HFCF Co-Founder and aunt of Luke Walz, Marybeth Walz states, “When forming this foundation benefit three years ago I never imagined that we would be honoring my own nephew Luke as he fights his battle against Leukemia.  On behalf of HFCF, and on a personal level on behalf of my family; we cannot thank our guests and sponsors enough. Because of your truly amazing support, we will be able to significantly make a difference in the lives of many children and their families in our community.”

HFCF is a group of young professionals, entrepreneurs and parents in Monmouth County working together to raise funds with the end result of making a significant positive difference in the lives of children in our local community.
