HFCF’s 6th Annual Monte Carlo Night Nets $180,000

Organization has raised more than $1 million for local children’s charities

News Release

Holmdel – HFCF is proud to announce that its 6th Annual Monte Carlo Night Gala has netted $180,000 for local children’s charities. More than 500 guests attended the gala, held at the Ocean Place Resort and Spa in Long Branch, on November 19th.

Funds raised will be directed to a number of worthy causes that benefit children, including Impact Oasis, whose mission is to promote inclusion and acceptance of autistic individuals into their local communities by establishing farm centers that provide meaningful work, peaceful and healthy residences and community interaction.

Other beneficiaries will include K Hovnanian Children’s Hospital, Monmouth Medical Center, DOORS, Austin Academy, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and Family Promise. HFCF also donates to individual families who are faced with crisis throughout the year.

“HFCF is overwhelmed by the generous support of the entire community for our annual Monte Carlo Night,” said MaryBeth Walz, Co-Founder, HFCF. “I am extremely proud of all of our volunteers, sponsors and charitable partners who work very hard to stage a first-class event that benefits children in need in the greater Monmouth County area. The success we have had is a testament to their vision and hard work.”

Highlights of the evening for guests included a full array of casino table games, a performance by the ICON Dancers, exceptional multimedia DJ service provided by This Is It Entertainment and several hundred silent auction items.

High-end items were also available in a traditional auction, including an all-inclusive expense- paid trip to football’s big game in Dallas in February, VIP seats to a Yankees game and a chance to participate with members of the Yankees in a baseball clinic, fine jewelry and the “Lobster Experience” – a full-service lobster bake, with a lifeguard and DJ service.

A package of airfare to Los Angeles for an on-studio Sunday at the Fox Sports NFL pre-game show, earned HFCF $8,000, as donated by Mr. and Mrs. Rich Russo. In matching the generosity of the Russo’s, HFCF made a donation to CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of New Jersey.

HFCF Co-founder Eric Hinds is amazed by the rapid growth of the all-volunteer organization’s signature event.

“When we started HFCF, a small group of friends expected to have an excuse to spend time with each other while raising a little money for good causes,” Hinds said. “To have raised and donated more than one million dollars for local children’s charities is very humbling. We have been awed by the generosity of the thousands of people in our community who have had a hand in the success of HFCF.”

Based in Holmdel, HFCF is a group of young professionals, entrepreneurs and parents in Monmouth County working together to raise funds to make a significant positive difference in the lives of children. HFCF was started with the simple goal of “getting together with family, friends and colleagues to make a difference in our community.”

To date, HFCF has donated more than $1 million to local charities and families in need of assistance in Monmouth County. Past beneficiaries have been: K. Hovnanian Children’s hospital, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Family Promise of Monmouth County, The Valerie Fund at Monmouth Medical Center, Impact Oasis, Greg Hickman Foundation, The ARC of Monmouth County, Prevention 1st, CASA of Monmouth County, YMCA, and Middletown Helps its Own.
